Ah Kyoto, my favorite little city in the world. Had a splendid time walking around it with Ping and Alice during the cherry blossom season back in April. We woke up at 5am to brave the early morning chills and arrived at Mount Arashiyama by 6, just in time to catch some beautiful early morning sun creeping through the horizon, lending its golden light to shine through the white petals of the blossoms. Kyoto was awash with a sea of white as we explored the historic streets of Gion and treaded the Philosopher’s Path. I left wishing that I could return every year, making an annual pilgrimage of sorts.
